Runs before every trade. Verifies punk holder status, applies dynamic fee discounts (0% for alien punks, 0.05% for apes), and checks liquidity concentration thresholds.

afterSwap Hook

Captures 20% of generated fees post-swap and auto-compounds them into the active liquidity range, maximizing depth without manual LP management.

Dynamic Fee Tiers

V4's dynamic fee support lets uPUNK's hook shift fee tiers in real-time based on volatility — tightening during calm markets, widening during high-volume events.

uPUNK is an independent ERC-20 token that pays cultural homage to CryptoPunks — Ethereum's original NFT collection. uPUNK is not affiliated with Larva Labs or Yuga Labs. It uses on-chain CryptoPunks ownership data via smart contract reads to power its Uniswap V4 hook features. Think of it as a DeFi primitive built around the punk aesthetic.
Uniswap V4's hook architecture lets us embed programmable logic directly into the pool lifecycle — something impossible in V3. Hooks allow uPUNK to offer CryptoPunk-gated fee tiers, auto-compounding, and MEV protection without any centralized middleware. V4 also introduces singleton contracts and flash accounting, which dramatically reduce gas costs per swap.
The uPUNK token contract and hook contract have been audited by an independent firm prior to launch. Audit report is publicly available on our GitHub. Ownership has been renounced, liquidity tokens have been burned to the dead address, and there is no mint function. The contract is immutable.
